Shay Bachar was born in Israel and lived there until the age of 26. In Israel, he studied music with some of the best teachers and top musicians. Shay was also an active participant in the music scene of Tel Aviv, which is a vibrant port city known for its music and night life.

Shay moved to the U.S in 2008 and currently calls Hartford, CT his home. As in Tel Aviv, Shay has continued to play and collaborate with different musicians in the tri-state area. He has also had many solo projects over the years and enjoys playing at various coffee shops and music halls in the area. One of his favorites was writing and performing the music for the Mark Twain Museum’s original play “A Love Chase”.  Shay has also recorded his debut album, "Sounds of Motion" in 2010 and is currently working on a classical fingerstyle solo project of personal interpretation of well-known songs and original compositions.
